These terms govern your use of Short Story (the “Service”), operated by Short Story (operator name to be added). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

1. The Service

Short Story turns a written story idea into a video using automated AI tools: it writes a script, generates pictures, voices and optional animation, and edits them into a video. Users cannot upload images; all visuals are generated by the Service. Results are produced automatically and may contain mistakes or imperfections.

2. Accounts

• You sign in with Google or an email link. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country.

3. Credits and payments

• Creating, animating and editing videos uses credits. The credit cost is shown before you confirm.
• Credits come with a monthly subscription paid through our payment partner Razorpay. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes.
• Each month’s credits are added on the billing date and expire at the end of that billing month; unused credits do not carry over.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and are used only within the Service.
• After credits are used, no refund will be provided. A refund is possible only within 7 days of a payment and only if none of the credits from that payment have been used. See the Refund Policy.
• If a video fails on our side, its credits are returned to your balance automatically.

4. Your content

• You keep ownership of the story ideas you write. You grant us a licence to process them to provide the Service.
• Subject to these terms and the terms of our AI providers, you may use the videos you create, including commercially.
• You are responsible for how you publish and use your videos, including compliance with the rules of platforms such as YouTube and Instagram.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to create content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, involving minors in any harmful way, defamatory, infringing others’ rights, impersonating real people, or misleading as real news. We may refuse, remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, without refund of credits used.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service running but do not guarantee it is uninterrupted or error-free. We may change features, prices or these terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
